Program Description: This is a recording of a presentation conducted on February 13, 2025. An overview of editing procedures followed by a more in depth approach to the application of Styles to provide a more efficient and accurate generation of Table of Contents and Table of Authorities for legal documents. The emphasis will be on using Microsoft Word to automate as much of the table generation process as possible. Relevant examples from the office work product will be used to match the desired outcome more closely in both content and format.

Program Description: This is a virtual presentation that was originally recorded on February 17, 2022, from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at the Harris County Robert W. Hainsworth Law Library in Houston, TX. The presentation contains a screening of the film ALTERNATIVE FACTS: The Lies of Executive Order 9066 which contains information leading up to and following the case of Korematsu v. The United States, 323 U.S. 214. Fred Toyosaburo Korematsu was an American civil rights activist who resisted the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II. He was convicted of remaining in a portion of a military area from which persons of Japanese ancestry had been ordered excluded. Learn More.
